About Us
St. Spyridon Orthodox Church began as a small Mission Parish in Loveland, Colorado in 2004. We experienced rather large and rapid growth and have since moved into a much larger building to accommodate our numbers that will become our permanent home. Our growth in attendance was obviously accompanied by growth in our Youth Programs, and we began looking for unique ways to help our kids experience the beautiful, mystical ways of the Church.
We set out to create a tool, as the church often does, for our kids to practically use in their journey with Christ. Lent was the first journey we attempted to assist with, and The Lenten Passport was born. Thanks to our extremely gifted Priest, Fr. Evan Armatas, and some incredible graphic design work, we were able to offer this fun and useful idea to our own parish first in 2012 and to the rest of the world in 2013. We expanded the program with Postcards, Posters, the Raising Lazarus Project and the Lenten Journey Map, and are now working on tools for other fasting seasons or seasons of life in general.
All of this work has been done on behalf of our youth. We are not for profit, but for the profit of those whom God has entrusted us with the care of. All of the money raised from this Lenten Embassy Store goes toward funding our burgeoning Youth Programs. We love hearing from you about ideas or changes that you would like to see implemented into this program, so please feel free to contact us.
As we strive to make our store easier to use and navigate, we really appreciate your patience and understanding! We pray you, your family, and your parish find these tools helpful and enjoyable to use, and pray you have a blessed Lenten Journey!
